Product Manager

For 10 years, FourthCanvas has worked with good people to build great brands. As the stakes rise, we are being entrusted with not just the brand foundations but with the full experiences of how they come to life.

We are looking for an experienced Product Designer who cares deeply about the work, the people, and the reason we do what we do. This is how we imagine that person:

  • A little more than basic decency. You are not only being polite, you are genuinely thoughtful and considerate of others.
  • Creative courage. You do not wait for precedence to make a direction feel valid. You are able to lead a direction no one has followed before, without hiding behind what is already familiar.
  • Ease of clarity. You can take a messy mix of ambition, constraint, feedback, and competing needs, and bring clear shape to it without losing what matters.
  • Documentation. You communicate thoughtfully and document clearly, not as a process burden to endure, but because you understand how much alignment, speed, and quality depend on it.
  • Growing, insatiable taste. You read widely, pay close attention to great products, and keep seeking better references for leading product teams toward excellence.
  • Disciplined work-rate. You know good product management takes patience, consistency, prioritisation, and the discipline to keep moving the work from ambiguity to execution.
  • Respect for the perspective of others. You know that strong products emerge when different perspectives are brought into the room, listened to properly, and worked through with honesty.
  • Cross-functional leadership. You are able to work well with designers, developers, strategists, marketers, and other collaborators, helping everyone understand what matters, what is changing, and what success looks like.

Role & Responsibilities

Product management here is about creating clarity where confusion could easily take over, and helping good teams build the right thing, in the right way, for the right reasons.

This role will primarily involve turning business goals, user needs, and team effort into clear priorities, strong coordination, and steady momentum across product development.

This will include:

  • Working with the Project Director, strategists, designers, developers, and client teams to define product goals, priorities, requirements, and success measures.
  • Leading discovery across stakeholder conversations, product reviews, audits, workshops, research inputs, competitive review, and synthesis.
  • Turning insight and ambition into clear product direction, including priorities, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, roadmaps, and decision-making frameworks.
  • Helping teams make good trade-offs by balancing user value, business goals, technical realities, and delivery constraints without losing the core intent of the product.
  • Presenting thinking, progress, and decisions clearly and confidently, helping stakeholders understand what is being proposed, what is being prioritised, and why it matters.
  • Working closely with team members to ensure delivery is on track, and progress is documented.
  • Maintaining a high standard across planning, documentation, handoff, QA support, and release readiness.
  • Contributing to the operational efficiency of how we improve FourthCanvas’ digital touchpoints when off client work.</aside>
